The LA County Board of Supervisors are voting on TUESDAY (7/26) on agenda item #61 (Sheriff Removal).
BACKGROUND INFO:
The BOS had previously voted 4-1, at the 7/12 meeting, to order the county attorneys to draft a ballot measure for November’s general election that will empower the BOS to remove a sitting elected LA County Sheriff from office.
Hilda Solis & Holly Mitchell sponsored the motion.
Kathryn Barger was the lone NO vote.
Agenda item #61 is the next step in the process.
