They met with the DNC lawyers who actually hired the team which made up the dossier. IT is therefore very probable that the FBI knew that the fake dossier was created by the firm that DNC hired, and was paid for by DNC money. There was a link from Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS, thru Christopher Steele, the author of the fake dossier, to an unknown third party, probably a member of UK intelligence services.
There was another link from the law firm Perkins Coie, who represents the Democratic National Committee and The Hillary Clinton campaign, to that same or another unnamed party in UK intelligence.
There was a third link to the FBI and the DNC to the Washington Free Beacon, a target of FBI leaks, on to an unknown party. Now that Baker is talking, it is possible that we will know the identification of that unknown UK party.

Finally, don't forget the 11's in the latter part of 2018: 11th September (17th anniversary of 9/11), 11th November (Victory Parade in Paris). Maybe 11th October is significant too??
