What exactly does a state coordinator do? I want to help and do my part. This is all new to me. I will need help.

I currently work full time in the legal field managing a law firm. I am considering taking on the State Coordinator position if it is something I can do effectively. While I am doing my research, I am willing to discuss this in detail with someone who can guide me on what is involved. For me, failure is not an option.
