Massachusetts Birth Cert Authentication

Unread post by tr3a »

I'm trying to get my birth certificate from Massachusetts "authenticated", but the Massachusetts sec of commonwealth website only offers "apostile" and "certificates of appointment", which Anna von Reitz says is insufficient. Anybody know how to do this correctly?

I expect if you know the city or town you were born in, call the city hall or town hall and request a copy of your birth certificate It can be date stamped and if they have a notary it can be notarized. that's my best guess, you can always call or write them.

We are not affiliated with Ms. Reitz. and do not recommend altering one's status.
